Al Verizon Center di Washington è andata in scena l’edizione 2016 di Battleground, il pay-per- view estivo della WWE che precede Summerslam.
L’evento più atteso è stato sicuramente il match a tre, che ha visto come protagonisti gli ex compagni di squadra dello Shield: Roman Reigns, Seth Rollins e Dean Ambrose. Quest’ultimo ha avuto la meglio sugli altri, mantenendo la cintura di WWE World Champioship e confermandosi il numero uno della compagnia.
Molto interessante anche l’incontro tra John Cena, Enzo Amore e Big Cass contro i membri de “Il Club” capitanati da AJ Styles, che si è concluso con la vittoria del team di John Cena, il quale si è finalmente preso la sua rivincita su The Phenomenal One.
